In the recent few weeks there has been no dearth of travel iPhone Apps doing the rounds. Let’s look at some of them who are doing really well in the market.

The Negotiator Apps which has been recently launched by Priceline.com is free and also helps travelers who want to make last minute bids on hotels. The hotels are sorted via the location that the request has been laid out in and yes, it does get a bit of help from the Negotiator William Shatner.

Another one is “Not For Tourists” which is an insiders guide mostly made for locals which is hip and was released by iPhone guides for London, New York City, San Francisco as well as other cities for $1.99. Apart for giving information on nearby hotels locals can also get information on facilities within the vicinity like community gardens etc.

A unique application was also released by Virgin Atlantic and does not work on guidelines that most would decipher it to be. Infact the “Flying Without Fear Program” which is the airline’s apps has said to help Whoopi Goldberg’s airline phobia. It now comes at prices of $ 4.99. The apps has answers to airline phobia questions like “What if all engines fail?” it also has a few breathing exercises to get rid of anxiety.

PicTranslator has come up with another excellent idea. This app infact turns the iPhone camera into a translator. All the user needs to do is hold the camera at a sign that has foreign words and the apps does its work. You can buy them for $1.99 and is available in 16 languages.

There are a few other travel apps that are expected in the market soon that will take care of various needs of a traveler.
