It’s been only a year and the team that created Unity 3D engine is already rejoicing its strong dominance that it has had on the Apple App Store, A press release by Unity had a lot to tell about the apps that has currently enjoyed its one year standing in the ever expanding and every popular apps market. The reports mention that of 25 applications that were paid almost 12% of it was built with the help of its 3D development engine. It’s obvious that it was selected because of its anti-piracy measures as well as because of its royalty-free license.
Developers of Skee-Ball and the co-founder of Graveck Interactive, Jonathan Czeck said the following, “Game engines are the glue to put together all the components of your game. Unity iPhone has been our special super glue offering a great PhysX engine and solving the hard parts of iPhone and iPod Touch compatibility which have allowed us to focus on the game itself rather than the engine.”
He also goes on to say, “Without a doubt, it helped us overcome the many competitors on the App Store as we rose all the way to the number one spot of best selling games.”
To comply with Apple’s new entrants, Unity iPhone Version 1.5.1 has been released.
