Apple introduced a great touch phone called iPhone with loads of features that are fun for the users. It changed the business model entirely and Apple wanted operators to agree to the revenue sharing program by establishing iPhone contract with the operators.

Now, Google android is available as a free operating system for smart phones and rumors are hot that Nexus One, an android powered mobile phone will be introduced by Google itself on January 5th. On the Google blog, it was posted that Google is experimenting with various android features on smart phones. HTC will be developing Nexus One which incorporates Android 2.1 operating system. No specifications, price range or introduction dates are officially announced even though people are taking that it will be in the price range of $500.

It is expected that two versions of Nexus One will be made available. One version will come with a T mobile contract, the other version will be released by Google itself, and it will be an unlocked mobile phone.

Many iPhone users hate the iPhone contract and jail breaking iPhone is very common. Industry experts believe that when Nexus One gives the same features as that of iPhone without contract, the popularity of iPhone will demise. Just like iPhone revolutionized mobile phone market, Nexus One may revolutionize the entire smart phone market.

However, ardent iPhone lovers are sure that even though Nexus One becomes available, iPhone can’t be outperformed. Apple has developed highly useful operating system and some of the features are unachievable with the Android operating system which is not fully developed yet.
