You can now use an application that is present on your iPhone to receive a request verbally. This is an app for your iPhone called Siri and is based on artificial intelligence. Well its nothing like a search engine, but it seems more like a “Do Engine.” The application name Siri is built to understand your request through a verbal command and sends it to a search engine and the results are then displayed on your iPhone screen. What’s even wonderful about the apps is that it gives you a chance to even correct or adjust the request made by using the onscreen taps. Most uses of Siri have said that this is the most sophisticated voice recognition apps that is currently available on the iPhone.

The difference between Siri and the other similarly built software’s if that this one has ‘cognitive software’ which is why you receive results that are accurately targeted. It also carries out tasks of looking out for restaurants, plane tickets, movies and even ATM locations. The application is currently available for download on your iPhone through the iTunes App Store.

The Siri however can work on your 3GS iPhone version; a version that will be compatible for lower iPhone versions is currently under development. The application had been developed by a non profit organization called SRI International
